Michael Helped Me This Evening

I'm trying to reclaim this flower bed.  So tonight Michael and dug up all the bricks we could find an added a border to the path so the dogs and kids would realize the flower bed is off-limits bu the path will get them where they want to go.

I know now is not the ideal time to be transplanting plants but I needed to find some plants from all over the yard to fill in the holes.  I watered them twice trying to get them out of shock.  Guess I'll check to see how they are in the morning.  Thinking about getting a few bags of mulch to put everywhere on the bed but not the path to help keep the plants more comfortable.

We needed to somehow fix the dirt/mud situation on the inside of the gate.  I found stepping stones that we had to the chicken coop and dug them up.  Michael dug a place for each of them.

He dug them ina d and then we watered them in to see if they were level.  So far so good.

Now all that we need to do is get some grass to grow.  I think we will see if Pappy can deal with that.
