I am amazed.  Every day they seem to multiply!

I see strawberry shortcake in my future!

I have either seen this snake twice or he has a twin sister.  This time he was sunning on the sidewalk to the backyard.  I almost stepped on him.  We had a little chat and we both then turned and continued on.

Where is Ellis my snake catcher when you need him...three hours away.

Well, Hello There!

A Little More Color

. Tuesday, April 25, 2017 .
I am trying something new this time.  I saved the ends of celery and lettuce.  I heard that they will regrow.  Well, I am putting them to the test.

Mark dug out some good compost from the bins..farmer's gold...and I added it to every inch of the garden.  And there is still a wheelbarrow full.  Good and rich with lots of worms.

I also planted some Creasy Greens for the ladies at Wyngate.  I have never heard of them but they promise me if I can grow them I will love them  So we will see.

Trying Some New Things

Only half od the dogwood is alive.  The other half is alive with color.

Clematis are my favorites...but I say that about all the flowers when they first bloom.

These weren't there this morning.

We Have A Rainbow In The Yard

. .
This just snuck up on me!  The first day I saw just a little two-inch stalk.  Two days later this is what I found this.

Double daffodil

Our only tulip.

A surprise bloom on the 'stem' on the snowflake magnolia.

My favorite spring blood...red bud.

It looks like a tree full of cotton candy.

My Mouth Waters Just Thinking About It

Maybe I should say April Floods....

The back yard was a swamp for a few days.

The flowers started popping out all over the place...some with dirt from the rain drops hitting the muddy waters.

Asparagus already coming up and the strawberries are spreading like wildfire.
