Spring Gardening

. Thursday, April 2, 2015 .
We uncovered everything yesterday to check to see where we should begin.  Where I laid on the rabbit poop and coffee grounds the soils is rich and fine.  Best dirt we have had to date!

Swiss chard, onion sets and sugar snap peas are in.  I'm still waiting on the four asparagus plants to make their spring/summer debut.

The strawberries look a little sad to me but my Amish friends, John and Anna Zook, say just to leave them alone and they will be just fine.  I'm going with their knowledge not my gut this time.

The garlic is going like gang busters.  Lots of asparagus and broccoli along with two types if lettuce.

Hopefully today I can get some of the chicken herbs in.  Yesterday I planted buckets and buckets full of marigold seeds.  We already have lavender and rosemary to plant.

Maybe since it is raining today Mark and I can build the herb planter.  Planting lots for cooking and herbal therapy for the chickens.
