Eating Myself Silly

. Friday, May 19, 2017 .
I don't remember planting this one.  Must be what we call a Volunteer Plant...it just volunteered to come up in the garden.

One of my favorites and one of Mark's least favorites.

This wisteria has almost grown half the length of the top of the hammock pergola.  Maybe in three years, I will have the canopy I dream of.

More Color

. .
I hope I m not jinxing myself here but I think we may have tons of strawberries this year!

Lots and lots of these little jewels.

Yesterday evening

I also found this entwined in the strawberries.  Hope he doesn't like to eat them.

And this morning I found these.

They Are Everywhere

This bud waiting for just the right time...

...and now after a long drive from WV for me was the perfect time for this special peony to bloom.

Mark's mom LOVED Shirley Temple.  Her mom would fix her hair in the ringlets and Katherine would be transformed into Shirley Temple.  She loved to sing and dance.  She knew all the songs and could tell you alla bout her movies.  So today was the day to bloom.

False indigo must not taste very good.

The last surviving allium.

A sweet pink rose given to me about 17 years ago by the MWBYouth group.

Two different clematis blooms on the same pole.
