Making Hay While The Sun Shines

We have had some storms and then we have had some beautiful days.  This is the result...

For Mother's Day this year I ask the kids if they would come and help me work in the yard.  I'm not as strong as I once was and Pappy is out of commission for a bit.  They came and we dug up a few ferns for Cassie's new yard.  We dug up and replanted two burning bushes that will someday become a hedge.

We took down a split rail fence making way for the new fencing we have been wanting to put up since we moved in.  We are going to reuse it in the barnyard fence.  We dug up and moved more bushes and even a tree.  We were able to get 98% of the items checked off my list.  I'd say we had a pretty good day.  I appreciate their help because without it we would have never gotten as much accomplished and I am sure they kept us out of divorce court.

I got the window boxes filled and put up.

Found anew vine for the hummingbirds...cardinal climber vine.   They have already found it!  Yea!

We have a pair of Oriels that have been trying to get in the front door.
