Then today these were warming up to in the sun.
Now to figure out how to capture the center of this crocus so the yellow is sharp and clear like the petals on the outside. Any suggestions?

These are great. I'm surprised that they're 'up" so early. You might try, taking a shot, on macro, with your body blocking the sun. It's worth a try.
