This little jewel of a bloom greeted me the day of the big snow. I checked yesterday after the great thaw and they are still proudly standing.
We have a family of about eight that raid the bird feeders everyday. Sometimes I make the scatter by knocking on patio door and then other times I just sit back and watch. The yahoos think they are so funny!
Thanks to all the birds, squirrels and Pappy we should have lots of volunteer plants in the yard this spring. Some will be welcomed and others will be pitched in the compost bin out back.
